Let’s read and discuss the Haruki Murakami’s short story “Drive My Car,” found within the book “Men Without Women”!
(Non-JET Program Alumni, including friends, family, and Japan enthusiasts – even those located outside of Ottawa- are encouraged to join!!)
This short story was the basis of the 2021 film “Drive my Car,” directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi, and selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival where it won three awards including Best Screenplay. It was also selected as the Japanese entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards.

JETAA Ottawa will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 18, 2021 online over Zoom! As a volunteer-based registered not-for-profit organization, JETAA Ottawa will soon be looking for new and excited individuals to help run the chapter. The AGM is where JETAA members vote for the next year’s Executive Committee as well as reminisce on the past year’s events! This year’s AGM will be held virtually, but that doesn’t mean the fun can’t continue!
