Event: May 26th Hanami Cherry Blossom Viewing

**UPDATE:
Due to the weather report being rainy on May 19th, the EVENT DATE HAS BEEN MOVED to May 26th. Thanks for understanding!

Every year across the country Japan, from the months of February to May, cherry blossoms begin to see first bloom. Families, couples, and friends alike gather under the shade of the cherry blossom trees to celebrate the arrival of spring with food and drink, a tradition known as 「花見」 or flower viewing. Though we don't have our fair share of cherry blossoms here in Ottawa, that won't dissuade us from having a little flower viewing get-together of our own!

Come join JETAA Ottawa for a wonderful Saturday afternoon flower viewing and pleasant conversation with the option of a sushi lunch! Be sure to bring a tarp, picnic blanket, or foldable chairs to make sure you're comfortable. We also encourage you to bring snacks, board games, frisbees, or any other activities suitable for a spring picnic.

We will meet at Dunton Tower at 12:30 PM
and make our way to the Fletcher Wildlife Garden at 12:45 PM. If you arrive after 1:00 PM, please give our president Brandon a call (613 979-6417) and we will direct you to our gathering spot at Fletcher Wildlife garden.
